Windy Coast

On a windy coast
the waves splashing at my feet
The ones I love the most -
still in their beds asleep
I feel the sea breeze blow -
warm and steady through my hair
I got no place to go -
I don’t need to be nowhere_

It’s so peaceful hear -
alone sitting on the sand
The sounds that reach my ear -
are nothing that I could have planned
I think this is the place -
where at this moment I should be

And the waves - are a part of me,
that beat an endless a rhythm in my mind
And the birds - sing the melody,
And I find that all I do is keep the time
Time is its own,
as I watch the world go by
